- Story Text: Elon Musk reacted to comments made in a speech by French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday (January 6), in which the president said Musk had intervened in recent elections through his social media platform X.
"Ten years ago, if we had been told that the owner of one of the largest social networks in the world would support a new reactionary international and intervene directly in elections, including in Germany, who would have imagined it?" Macron said in a speech made in front of French ambassadors in Paris.
Musk was quick to reply on X by reposting Macron's comments and accusing British Prime Minister Keir Starmer of criticising U.S. President-elect Donald Trump.
"Oh like that time Starmer called @realDonaldTrump a racist and said the British government should do everything to stop him?" Musk wrote in his post.
