- Story Text: One of the world's richest leaders, Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Fahd Bin Abdulaziz met British Prime Minister, Mr. Harold Wilson in London on Monday (20 October).
Observers have predicted that the talks in London between the two countries will revolve around a multi-million pound sterling deal, which may include British assistance to Saudi Arabia's development plans in return for a substantial loan from the oil rich Arab country for Britain's ailing economy.
The importance the British Prime Minister and his advisers are putting on the Prince's visit is reflected in the fact that Mr. Wilson himself was at the airport to greet the Saudi Arabian delegation when they arrived in London.
Before leaving Jeddah Prince Abdulaziz said that his country's relations with Britain were good and would be further improved by his visit to London. The Prince said the main topics he would discuss with Britain's leaders would be the Middle East situation and the world producer and consumer Ministerial Conference due to be held in Paris next December.
The Prince and his party will be in Britain for four days. Queen Elizabeth is holding a special luncheon for the Prince on Tuesday (21 October).
