- Story Text: A Saudi Arabian sports team has been competing near Amman against Jordanian national table tennis, volley ball, track and field team. The Saudi athletes are making a return visit following a tour by a Jordanian team of Saudi Arabia last year.
The Jordan games have been held under the Patronage of the Director of the Youth Organisations, Prince Ra'd Ben Zeid.
Prince Ra'd and the Saudi Ambassador to Jordan, Sheikh Ahmad Al-Kuehimy watched one of the main attractions, the volley ball match at Na'our. In an exciting game the Saudi team won three sets to two.
SYNOPSIS: Volley Ball was one of the games played by a group of Saudi Arabian sportsmen visiting Jordan recently. The Saudi athletes were making a return visit following a tour by Jordanian sportsmen of Saudi Arabia last year. Other Saudi team members included table tennis players and track and field athletes.
Prince Ra'd Ben Zeid, Jordan's Director of Youth Organisations played host to the touring sportsmen. The Saudi volley ball team in the dark shirts gained an early lead in their match.
In an exciting game the Jordanian players staged a comeback, but their opponents had too much skill. The Saudi team won three sets to two.
