- Story Text: Dogs and their owners were invited for a special screening of a canine classic at a Paris cinema on Saturday (January 18).
The Majestic Bastille independent arthouse cinema in France's capital welcomed 18 dogs with their owners to watch Walt Disney's 1955 animation romantic movie "Lady and the Tramp".
After a bit of sniffing and barking, the dogs, of all shapes and sizes, settled on the red seats to watch the movie.
Dog owners said they were delighted to be able to share the moment with their animal companions.
The cinema's director had the idea of programming more dog-friendly sessions after a first experience screening the Franco-Swiss comedy film "Le proces du chien" (the dog's trial) by Laetitia Dosch which came out in 2024.
More dog-friendly screenings are planned in the future with the 1992 American movie "Beethoven", the story of a Saint Bernard who escapes a pet shop and ends up being adopted by a family.
The ticket price for an adult is 8 euros and accompanying dogs come in free.
