Hamas named the three Israeli female hostages to be freed in Gaza on Sunday (January 19) as Romi Gonen, Doron Steinbrecher and Emily Damari, according to a statement by the Palestinian militant group.
Israel has not yet released the names of the three hostages.
Reuters previously filed this story in December 2023.
Friends of Hamas hostage being held in Gaza organised a dance class in her honour in Tel Aviv's Hostage Square on December 31 2023.
Romi Gonen, 23, a dancer and choreographer, was kidnapped by Hamas on October 7 at the Nova rave festival in the south of Israel.
The release of the hostages as well as the end of the war between Israel and Hamas were at the top of the attendees' as well as spectators' New Year's Eve wishes.
