CHILDREN WALKING ON STREET COPENHAGEN, DENMARK (APRIL 15, 2020) (AAVN- ACCESS ALL) SCRIPT Denmark started to reopen schools for younger children on Wednesday (April 15) after a month-long closure to fight coronavirus (Covid-19). Primary schools, kindergatens and nurseries are reopening after they were officially closed on March 11 due to the outbreak. After the new regulation, some 220 pupils up to the second grade joined the class at Norrebro Park School. Classes are only resuming in about half of Denmark’s municipalities and in about 35 percent of Copenhagen’s schools, as others have requested more time to adjust to health protocols. All are expected to reopen by April 20. Denmark had 6,881 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus and 299 deaths, according to the latest figures on Wednesday. Writing by Emre Bastug
