The video shows the Sukhoi Superjet 100 bouncing on the tarmac at Moscow's Sheremetyevo airport and the rear part of the plane on fire. In the footage passengers can be seen escaping via the plane's emergency slides that inflated after the hard landing. The video also shows the badly damaged plane after the fire was extinguished by fire trucks. At least 41 people died after the Russian plane made an emergency landing due to fire on board at Moscow's Sheremetyevo airport, investigators said in a statement. The Superjet-100 aircraft with 78 people on-board, was flying from Moscow to the northern port city of Murmansk and caught fire soon after taking off and asked for an emergency landing, the Committee's spokeswoman Svetlana Petrenko told reporters in Moscow.
