DJs performed at the march, which was moving through central London to Parliament Square. Protestors demanded that the government lift all restrictions on the music and hospitality sector without any further delay. The rally was organized by Save Our Scene, an organization formed to protect the music and hospitality sectors in the UK. The organizers say the UK’s Covid restrictions on nightlife and music events devastated the industry. The UK capital saw a wave of protests on Saturday. Thousands of people took the streets to voice their rejection against a range of issues, ranging from inequality, Covid-19 restrictions, austerity, and the framing of the climate crisis.
