Crimes including robberies, gunfights, and murders are common news in Cali. Some of the residents of Cali take steps and try to save Cali’s name from this bed reputation. Valle del Cauca’s Siloe neighborhood is a hillside neighborhood consisting of poor families. Children living in this neighborhood have been brainwashed by gangs due to poverty. Youth, who dropped to drug trap of gangs, sometimes had armed clashes until the neighborhood had tram. The fate of the neighborhood has changed after the tram was built because reaching Cali is easy. The crime rate is dropped and youth’s participation in gangs group declined due to social-economic change in the city. The young population of Sileo, who benefit from the job and education opportunities in Cali, one of the largest cities in Colombia, does not want to return to the dark days of the past.
