Drone footage shows the collapsed part of the historical Daquq Bridge, which was built in the Ottoman era over the Daquq Chey River northeast of the city of Daquq. The bridge is 1 kilometer long and stands on 23 piers, said Qasim Hamza, Director of Roads and Bridges in Kirkuk. Flood caused by heavy rain destroyed some of its piers, he told, adding they temporarily closed the bridge for heavy vehicles.
