Summary:The versatile Harrier, Britain's vertical takeoff fighter, seen in its sea-going role. Although operating from an aircraft carrier during NATO exercises in the Atlantic, the Harrier proved itself capable of operating from the helicopter decks of smaller cruisers. This versatility was enough for the United States Marines to order Harrier, making it one of the very few foreign aircraft ever to go into service with the American forces. NOTE: Date is approximate.
