Among them is 73-year-old Abdurrezzak Abu Huwaymil, who left Palestine over 50 years ago but carefully safeguards the keys and land titles from his father, received during their displacement from the Gaza Strip. Abu Huwaymil, born in Palestine in 1950, recounted his family's forced migration to Gaza due to Israeli attacks, followed by further displacement to Jordan after the 1967 Arab-Israeli War. Speaking Anadolu, he shared the enduring plight of Palestinians uprooted from their homeland, emphasizing their collective determination to realize the dream of return. Highlighting the historical significance of his property documents dating back to the 1920s, Abu Huwaymil underscored their symbolic representation of the inevitability of returning to their homeland. Despite ongoing Israeli attacks in Gaza, he asserted that the goal was to evacuate the strip, emphasizing Gaza's pivotal role in reviving the Palestinian cause, contrary to Israeli objectives. Abu Huwaymil spoke of the keys and land titles he inherited, including those for a corn field purchased from the British Mandate administration. Recalling the attacks that led to their displacement, he revealed the loss of his father's gold, buried under a tree in Gaza. In 1994, Abu Huwaymil received the key and title deed from his father, vowing to pass them on to his children and instill in them a deep love for Palestine from childhood. Within Jerash Camp, also known as the "Gaza Camp," approximately 35 thousand Palestinians endure challenging living conditions in a one-square-kilometer area. The camp is one of 13 Palestinian refugee camps in Jordan, collectively accommodating around 2 million people, each carrying the weight of their displacement and the hope for a return to their homeland.
