- Story Text:Homes and streets remained flooded in western France in and around the city of Rennes on Tuesday (January 28) after Storm Herminia brought heavy rainfall to the region over the weekend.
Drone footage showed waters submerging streets, houses and fields in the village of western French of Bruz.
Hundreds of residents of the region have been evacuated from their homes but no casualties have been reported, but the flooding is expected to intensify.
France's national weather agency on Monday (January 27) placed the Ile-et-Vilaine department, in Brittany, on red alert due to the risk of major flooding.
The Morbihan and Loire-Atlantique departments were added to the list on Tuesday.
