- Story Text: Chinese state television broadcasts amateur video it says was shot just moments after a cargo plane crashed in Shanghai, killing three and injuring four.
China's national broadcaster, CCTV, on Saturday (November 28) showed amateur video acquired from an Internet user it said showed a crashed cargo plane just moments after the accident in Shanghai.
Reuters could not verify the authenticity of the footage.
The video showed dense smoke and flames rising in the middle of a field with the black smoke covering the sky.
A Zimbabwean-registered cargo plane en route to Kyrgyzstan crashed on take-off in Shanghai on Saturday, killing three people on board and triggering a fire, Chinese state media said.
The plane, which had seven people onboard, left the runway and crashed into a storage building, CCTV reported earlier, starting the fire and sending a large plume of black smoke over the airport.
The accident happened at Pudong airport.
The plane was scheduled to fly to Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, an official at the Xinhua news agency said.
The four other crew were taken to hospital with injuries.
"The four injured are in a stable condition. But we can not rule out a possible deterioration in their condition or even a danger for their lives," the superintendent of the Shanghai People's Hospital of the Pudong New Area told CCTV.
Airport authorities declined to comment on the accident but said there were delays in flights leaving Shanghai.
The Zimbabwean Embassy could not be reached for comment. - Copyright Holder: CCTV (China) - NO RESALE MAINLAND CHINA
