SWEDISH ACTIVISR, SAMI SULIMAN, SPEAKING TO REPORTER (English) SCRIPT Hundreds of demonstrators once again took to the streets of Sweden's capital, Stockholm, on Saturday, March 1, to show solidarity with Palestine. During the weekly protest, participants voiced their opposition to U.S. President Donald Trump's proposal to take over Gaza and resettle its population, aiming to develop the region into a tourist destination. They also called for an end to Israel’s attacks in Gaza and the West Bank. Protesters carried banners with slogans such as "No to displacement," "Stop Israel," "No trade with the apartheid state," and "Support Palestine's resistance struggle." The demonstrators continued their march towards Sweden’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, calling for stronger international action against the proposed displacement of Palestinians. A ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement has been in place since last month, temporarily halting Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza, which has killed more than 48,360 people, mostly women and children, and left the enclave in ruins. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its actions in the enclave.
