At the heart of the event was a cardboard image of Jesus Christ on the cross — adorned with colorful paintings made by migrant children. Good Friday is part of Holy Week, which includes Holy Thursday (commemorating the Last Supper) and culminates in Easter Sunday, celebrating Jesus' resurrection. Via Dolorosa is believed by Christians to be the path walked by Jesus on the way to his crucifixion – towards the Church of the Holy Sepulcher.
