- Story Text: If there were two words to describe Frank Sorbier's Autumn/Winter Collection at Paris Fashion Week... it would be positivity and diversity.
The French designer wanted the show to focus on his work and not the general ambience and so instead of walking a traditional runway, models presented the collection by walking down a staircase and circling a large tree in the middle a gallery at Sotheby's, otherwise known for displaying art collections.
17 pieces with diverse messages, based on a guessing game- was what this collection was all about.
"I think the theme of the collection is special. The theme is "Portraits Chinois"- for example if I was a city, I would be Venice, so like that, it's a guessing game, it has a fun aspect. There are 17 themes that will be developed, 17 models, very different from one another and very eclectic and so it's very important to me because it defines itself in some way," Frank Sorbier said before the show.
Models sported cheerful pink off-shoulder dresses, as well as classy black, and ethnic pieces.
After his dark black collection last January, Sorbier decided to go with a lighter, more fun look this season. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
