- Story Text: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated world's highest rail bridge in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday (June 06).
Built across the breadth of Chenab river, the bridge becomes the first railway link between Indian Kashmir and the rest of the country.
The height of the bridge is 359 metres, making it taller than the iconic Eiffel tower, and the length is 1,315 metres.
India's fastest train called the Vande Bharat Express was seen traversing the length of the Chenab Bridge after Modi flagged it off the Reasi railway station.
Modi also inaugurated India's first cable-stayed railway bridge over the Anji river. It has been named as the Anji Rail bridge. - Copyright Holder: ANI (India)
