  • Story Text: Day two of Brazil's Sao Paulo Fashion Week was a full day of new looks on Tuesday (April 1) as some of the country's top names in fashion continued thrilling crowds with glances at the future in fashion for the hemisphere's upcoming summer.
    The biannual week-long event will feature 32 labels over five days with some of the world's most beautiful top models - including local star Gisele Bundchen - strutting the catwalk.
    This the 37th edition of Brazil's premiere fashion event where designers, shop owners and retailers come together to do business.
    Tuesday had its own dash of celebrity when Russian model Irina Shayk walked for hot local label Triton.
    Shayk has acquired in fame in part because she is the girlfriend of Real Madrid soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo.
    The 28-year-old Shayk added to the pizzazz of the Triton show which was tasked with closing the second night in Sao Paulo's salute to style.
    The collection was lively and electric, bursting with playful embroidery and gleaming pastel-chic tones.
    The exciting mix of colors and fabrics seemed to flirt at times with an Asian-coquettish vibe perfect for the approaching summer.
    At the show's closed Shayk emerged from backstage to accompany Triton's designers who reveled in the beaming audience.
    After the show, fashion journalist Majo Margareti gave her view of the Trito show.
    "It supposed a very exuberant vision. It (Triton) worked with many colors, fabrics and I think it had a little bit of a Mexican, maybe Hindu, influences throughout the embroidery and everything else," Margareti said.
    Rafael Mendonca on the other hand marveled at Shayk's appearance.
    "What can I say about the presence of Irina (Shayk)? I thought she was just a little bit heavy, in comparison with the other girls, but she is super charismatic and has a beautiful look," Mendonca said.
    Other labels on Tuesday's catwalk included the bluesy Uma Raquel Davidowicz show where fashionistas got to enjoy a decidedly bold collection that ranged from funkier, tomboy ensembles to sleek stunning numbers.
    Uma is famously known for creating modern and dynamic cuts with an often minimalistic or subdued approach to colour, The day's parades also included designers and labels Vitorino Campos, Giuliana Romanno, Patricia Motta, Pat Pat's and Alexandre Herchcovitch.
    Brazil is Latin America's biggest economy and has one of the world's fastest-growing fashion industries.
