Actors Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried teased their new thriller “The Housemaid” at the CinemaCon in Las Vegas.
The film is based on the novel of the same name by Freida McFadden and directed by Paul Feig. It tells the story of Millie (Sweeney), a young woman who is down on her luck. She gets the opportunity to be a housemaid for a wealthy couple Andrew (Brandon Sklenar) and Nina (Seyfried) and quickly discovers some dangerous secrets about them.
Seyfried: “The character that I was playing, has a lot, she has a lot of stuff to grapple with in ways that I've never gotten to play,” Seyfried said in an interview at the convention. “And it was wonderful. I think our characters had a crazy dynamic, and then we were so on the same page. And we're also both really game to go anywhere.”
Sweeney added, “Yeah, we’re really game. It was a lot of fun and because for Millie, my character. It's kind of like the window into the story for the audience. I felt like I always was along for the ride the same way that the audience was.”
CinemaCon is an annual convention that unites Hollywood studios with cinema chains in Las Vegas.
