Russian President Vladimir Putin on his way to Alaska for the summit with his U.S. counterpart Donald Trump made on Friday (August 15) a stopover in Magadan, a port city on the Sea of Okhotsk in Russia'a far North-East.
During his stay in the city, Putin visited Omega-C factory manufacturing products based on fish oil. He spoke to the regional officials at a conference on master plan of Magadan's development.
Russian leader also visited local sport complex where he met the players of children's ice-hockey team.
After laying flowers at the monument to memorial commemorating U.S.-Soviet cooperation during World War Two, Putin departed for Anchorage where he is set to meet Trump.
The two leaders are expected to discuss Ukraine ceasefire, arms control, bilateral and international issues as well as economic cooperation. Chances are though that the summit might go badly with no meaningful result at all. - Copyright Holder: POOL (CAN SELL)
