Summary:Muslims throughout Egypt went to their mosque on September 8 1972, to pray for the five Arab guerrillas killed in the shoot-out at the Munich Olympic Games but there was one entirely new departure in their rituals. For the first time, women were allowed to pray alongside the men. They had to get the dispensation of the Egyptian Minister of Wakes before being allowed to do so.
