Summary:In the 1970's there were said to be 90 million young Chinese in China's primary schools. They were educated in Chinese, mathematics, history, geography and music. But the most important item on the curriculum was the day they became Little Red Soldiers. At Peking's Number One Experimental Primary School, the recruits are presented with their red scarves, a symbol of the nation's flag and of the children's dedication to their country's cause.
