- Story Text: Justin Bieber lived up to his heartthrob status at the premiere of his documentary "Justin Bieber: Never Say Never" in London on Wednesday night (February 16).
The 16 year old looked cool in jeans, vest and bow tie and didn't seem at all fazed by the thousands of screaming girls who greeted him as he arrived.
On the carpet, coloured purple because it's his favourite, Bieber signed autographs and gave out passes to fans for the premiere.
Fans or "beliebers" are eagerly anticipating the film. Bieber's first feature length documentary offers the chance to get an inside look at his life - from his rise from being a Canadian street performer in the small town of Stratford, Ontario to an internet phenomenon, and then global superstar.
As an added extra, the film is in 3-D, giving fans more Bieber for their buck.
Director Jon M Chu told Reuters the idea was to show a side of Bieber that fans wouldn't be able to see anywhere else.
"When they sent us boxes and boxes of home videos we knew we had something really special and we started going through them and it's like watching a superhero discover his super abilities when you're watching those home videos and we knew that was going to be interesting to people."
Speaking to Reuters, Bieber said fans would see he 's a normal teenager.
"I think they'll see I'm a regular sixteen year old, I'm living my dream. I think that it's a positive movie for anyone who has a dream and who has motivations in life and goals."
Bieber has achieved global success in just two years. Since he was discovered in 2008 he's released two albums, "My World" and "My World 2.0". Both went platinum in the U.S.
"Justin Bieber: Never Say Never" features live footage of performances from Bieber's 2010 My World Tour as well as home footage of him as a child and various interviews. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
