- Story Text: Stars of the movie 'Valentine's Day' braved icy temperatures as they attended the European premiere in London's Leicester Square on Thursday (February 11). Jennifer Garner and Jessica Biel could not attend as they got snowed in in the United States.
Ashton Kutcher greeted screaming fans along with wife Demi Moore. Julia Roberts' niece Emma, Jessica Alba, Hector Elizondo, and Topher Grace also attended. Whilst the stars patiently answered questions on love and romance, some also paid tribute to British fashion designer Alexander McQueen who was found dead on the same day:
"It's a huge loss for the fashion industry, he was a brilliant visionary , my heart goes out to his friends and colleagues." said Ashton Kutcher.
Emma Roberts said she was shocked to learn the news:
"He is actually one of my favourite designers, I love him, it's really sad, I didn't even believe it when I heard it , I hope his family is doing ok."
"He was amazing and the fashion world has experienced a great loss and certainly his friends and his family, "said Jessica Alba.
When asked how they felt about Valentine's Day some of the actors were fairly philosophical. Veteran actor Hector Elizondo joked:
"I like it, as long as I avoid the stress I try not to look at the signs, it's gotten more and more commercial, but I've been around a few weeks."
Topher Grace said his Valentine experiences have not been so good so far:
"I've only kind of had bad Valentine's Days but being in this movie has taught me acouple of tricks."
Drawn by the starry cast and the film's built-in date-movie cachet, weekend moviegoers might flock to see the Warner Brothers Pictures romantic comedy, which ties together several love-laden storylines in different locations.
The cast also include Julia Roberts, Jamie Foxx, Patrick Dempsey, Eric Dane, and Carter Jenkins, George Lopez, Taylor Lautner along with actresses Shirley Maclaine, Kathy Bates, Queen Latifah and singer Taylor Swift.
