- Story Text: Robert De Niro joins his co-stars Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson and Blythe Danner for the New York premiere of their new film, 'Little Fockers'.
The star-studded cast of 'Little Fockers' hit the red carpet in New York City on Wednesday (December 15) for the film's worldwide premiere.
The threequel to 'Meet the Parents' and 'Meet the Fockers', sees Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro reprise their roles as bickering relatives Gaylord Focker and Jack Byrnes.
In 'Little Fockers', cash-strapped Gaylord takes a job moonlighting for a pharmaceutical company, and is asked to promote a drug for erectile disfunction.
His ever-suspicious father-in-law Jack discovers the drugs in Gaylord's bag, and takes a pill with hilarious consequences.
De Niro joked with reporters about what may have been in his trousers whilst filming.
"Ah, only you should know. It's only my secret," De Niro said, laughing off suggestions it was a sausage.
His co-star Dustin Hoffman, who is back in his role as Gaylord's father, Bernie Focker, was just as playful as he walked past reporters who begged the Academy Award-winning actor for a 'scoop'.
"I'm pregnant!," Hoffman exclaimed before walking away.
Blythe Danner, who plays De Niro's on-screen wife, Dina Byrnes, said after all three films, her favourite moment was watching her on-screen husband laugh.
"Watching Robert De Niro crack up.. this is what he does," Danner said, impersonating her co-star.
"He just shakes and doesn't make a sound and I love it," Danner added.
Joining the Hollywood heavy-hitters on the red carpet were 'Little Fockers' 7-year-old Colin Baiocchi and 8-year-old Daisy Tahan.
"Henry Focker is, he kind of likes his dad but he really likes his sister. He really likes his sister, sometimes he doesn't his dad but he really likes, but he really likes his mom and he really likes and he likes being with other people," Baoicchi said of his character, Henry.
The pint-sized star seemed unfazed about acting alongside veterans like De Niro.
"I'd never of heard of him but he was really cool," Baiocchi said.
Actress Teri Polo who portrays Gaylord's wife, Pam, said she would often act as translator between the children and the director.
"I worked as a translator, quite honestly with the directors.. could somebody please help me and tell them what I want?!" Polo laughed.
Danner said she already had a suggestion for the next installment of the 'Focker' family should another film be made.
"We are rooting for the next one to be 'Mother Fockers' because we think it's been enough now. After three films the boys have just had, I've had it up to here. I'm tired of standing around, going, 'I'm over here, hello! hello!' I want them to look at me. Of course I wouldn't make any box office for them sadly, but I think they put us in, don't you? Mother Fockers is a very catchy title," Danner said.
