- Story Text: British actress Kate Beckinsale was full of adoration for her co-star, actor Adam Sandler when the cast of the new romantic comedy film "Click" premiered the film in Los Angeles, California on Wednesday (June 14).
"I had a meeting with Adam (Sandler) and I really liked him a lot and I thought he was funny and smart and cool it was a really nice change of pace for me because i have been a bit grim lately and it was because with a comedy you got more of a chance to improvise and sort of fool around a little bit. I really enjoyed loosening up like that and he (Sandler) is just a doll I mean he is just such a nice guy," Beckinsale, who was dressed in a black Fendi gown and gold belt, told Reuters.
The actress, who is wed to the action film "Underworld" director Len Wiseman, admits she loved being married to funnyman Sandler in "Click" because he has a knack of making everyone feel special.
The film also stars veteran actor Christopher Walken, David Hasselhoff, and Henry Winkler, who could not get enough kind words in about Sandler who plays his son in the film.
"He is generous, he is brilliant, he is funny, he is in charge of every detail of every movie he makes and I am so proud of him I don't know what to do," Winker said.
"I have to say I am always shocked that's his pants are never pressed, you know, but he is comfortable. He is very comfortable," he added.
In 'Click', Sandler plays a father whose fast-track career interferes with his family life. 'Click' opens in the United States on June 23.
"I identified with a lot of stuff the guy (character in film) was going thorough overworked and not getting to spend enough time with his family and people he loves. I felt that I am going to be 40 next year so I identified with a lot of it. The father stuff in the movie I connected with , losing my Dad that sort of thing. I don't know, I liked the script a lot," Sandler told Reuters.
The film follows the life of Michael Newman, who thinks he is buying a universal remote for his TV, when he ends up with a universal remote for his life. What would Adam Sandler himself do if he could rewind any moment in his life?
"I would of course want to see my dad again. I would do that. Let's see what the hell would I rewind to? One time in elementary school I scored 19 points in a basketball game that was a good day for me I would do that again," Sandler said. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
