ASHTON KUTCHER AND DEMI MOORE (SOUNDBITE) (English) ASHTON KUTCHER, ACTOR, SAYING: "I think real heroes are hard to find, because real heroes don't talk about how great they are and they don't talk about the heroic things that they do, and these guys, they just feel like they're going to work everyday. You would never run into one of these guys at a bar where they'd be bragging about saving 25 lives this year, but they did. These stories are tough to find so that's why when you find them, they're special." RED CARPET ARRIVALS (SOUNDBITE) (English) ASHTON KUTCHER, ACTOR, SAYING: "It's amazing because I get to be a part of the return of the Kevin Costner that everybody fell in love with. The Field of Dreams, the Bodyguard and Dances with Wolves, all those blockbuster movies, he hasn't done them in a while so I think it's pretty special to be a part of it with him."

- Story Text: Kevin Costner and Ashton Kutcher attended the premiere of 'The Guardian,' in Washington D.C. on Thursday (September 7).
Several hundred fans were treated to an up close and personal view of Kevin Costner when he literally walked across the road from the cinema and stopped the traffic to say hello.
Costner plays a legendary coast guard rescue swimmer, who, after losing his crew in a fatal crash, is sent to teach at an elite training program.
His most challenging student is played by Ashton Kutcher, who after graduating from the course follows his teacher to work in the Bering Sea off Alaska.
This is Costner's first major role since appearing in 'Rumor Has It' with Jennifer Aniston last year.
"Well I'm probably a better swimmer, I've always been in the ocean, I'm comfortable about it, but this certainly tested me in a way that I don't want to be tested in real life," said about the challenging role.
It's a more serious character for Ashton Kutcher, who's opted to leave his life as a professional prankster behind after marrying Demi Moore, who made a brief appearance before slipping into the cinema.
"I think real heroes are hard to find, because real heroes don't talk about how great they are and they don't talk about the heroic things that they do, and these guys, they just feel like they're going to work everyday. You would never run into one of these guys at a bar where they'd be bragging about saving 25 lives this year, but they did. These stories are tough to find so that's why when you find them, they're special," Kutcher told Reuters.
Kutcher also said he was honoured to be a part of Costner's return to the genre most associate the actor with.
"It's amazing because I get to be a part of the return of the Kevin Costner that everybody fell in love with. The Field of Dreams, the Bodyguard and Dances with Wolves, all those blockbuster movies, he hasn't done them in a while so I think it's pretty special to be a part of it with him," said Kutcher.
The U.S Coast Guard was heavily involved in the making of the film, advising and co-ordinating scenes.
"It's thrilling. I've been in the coast guard over 35 years and worked with these folks that do such heroic acts, going out of helicopters in all kinds of conditions, I've always been very proud of them and never prouder than when we're able to show the American people what we do in a movie like this," U.S. Coast Guard Commandant Thad Allen said.
The movie opened in Washington D.C. to benefit the Coast Guard Foundation. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
