I feel like in life there could be things that sound like no big deal that really motivate you to change and notice things about yourself." I think Sofia didn't want me to be Stephen in the movie if anything, she wanted to change certain things about me and bring them into Johnny. This was kind of about incorporating what I do know, with the similarities of being a film actor: the life and the ups and downs, the loneliness, the full on attention and then the phone doesn't ring when the junket is over, when the movie is over." I do the normal thing, but I'm also in movies as well, so it balances out, perfectly." ANDY GARCIA ON RED CARPET VARIOUS OF JULIETTE LEWIS ON RED CARPET CHLOE SEVIGNY ON RED CARPET

- Story Text: Sofia Coppola was in Hollywood to promote the opening of her latest film, "Somewhere."
The film is a Hollywood insider's look at the life of an A-list actor -- five star hotels, adoration and sexual advances, but also loneliness, tiresome media attention and boredom.
Coppola said she wanted to paint a picture of the modern Hollywood.
"I was living in Paris after "Marie Antoinette" and I was maybe a little homesick and I was thinking about California. I didn't grow up here, but I lived in L.A. in my twenties and I just love those iconic L.A. movies from the past and I wanted to make something that captures today's L.A.," said Coppola.
Stephen Dorff, who plays the film's troubled star, said he could relate to his character, Johnny Marco - and admitted that despite the glamour, life in Hollywood isn't always fun.
"This was kind of about incorporating what I do know, with the similarities of being a film actor: the life and the ups and downs, the loneliness, the full on attention and then the phone doesn't ring when the junket is over, when the movie is over," said Dorff.
Elle Fanning plays the daughter of Johnny Marco - a character she says she's determined never to be like - and her secret to doing that? Keeping things real.
"I go to regular school and hang out with friends. I do the normal thing, but I'm also in movies as well, so it balances out, perfectly," said Fanning.
