- Story Text: Despite the searing temperatures that baked the "teal" blue carpet that stretched in front of the El Capitan Theater, it was a party-like atmosphere in Hollywood on Wednesday (August 03), as the stars and the fans of the upcoming television movie, "Phineas and Ferb: Across the 2nd Dimension" celebrated its premiere.
Actress Ashley Tisdale, who voices the controlling sister Candace in the animated show, said she's continually surprised by all the success.
"Every project that you do, you don't know what the reaction is going to be," said Tisdale. "I have been really lucky, 'Phineas and Ferb' has taken on a life. We have little kids, college students and parents and everybody. It is really fun."
The upcoming original TV movie is another pinnacle for the Emmy Award-winning comedy series "Phineas and Ferb," as stepbrothers Phineas and Ferb go on their biggest journey yet, into another dimension! When the boys finally discover that their beloved pet platypus Perry is in fact a secret agent who battles the forces of evil daily, they join him on a grand adventure that blasts them to another dimension.
Series creators Dan Povenmire and Jeff "Swampy" Marsh said the show's success is simple.
"We just tried to make the show funny as much as we can for us," explained Povenmire. "So, we spend a lot of time re-working gags and stuff, trying to make each other laugh. Our senses of humor works with the rest of America."
"We are incredibly average," joked Marsh.
