- Story Text: Julia Roberts, Dennis Quaid, and other cast members of the new comedy-drama "Something to Talk About" attended the film's premiere July 20 in New York City.
The film, which opens in the U.S. August 4, is about a southern woman with a seemingly perfect life who is suddenly faced with her husband's infidelity.
Roberts plays the lead role of Grace, while Quaid plays her errant husband. Also in the cast is Kyra Sedgwick as Grace's sister, Gena Rowlands as her mother, and Robert Duvall as her father.
The New York premiere took place at the Museum of Modern Art.
Others attending the event included the film's director, Lasse Hallstrom, the screenwriter, Callie Khouri, and its producer, Paula Weinstein.
Hallstrom received Academy Award nominations as director and co-screenwriter of the international hit, "My Life as a Dog" in 1985 and he made his American directorial debut in 1990 with "Once Around" starring Richard Dreyfuss and Holly Hunter. Hallstrom was born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden.
Khouri is best known for writing the Oscar-winning screenplay for the Susan Sarandon/Gena Davis film "Thelma and Louise." "Something to Talk About" was executive produced by actress Goldie Hawn. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
