- Story Text: Uma Thurman and Michael Angarano graced the red carpet Tuesday (March 22) evening for the premiere of their first film together, "Ceremony." The two share the big screen in a romantic comedy about a man in his early twenties crashing the wedding of a much older woman whom he thinks he loves. The story follows as he makes a last ditch attempt to discover win back her lost love.
Thurman says she enjoyed the movie and hopes that audiences will be able to relate to it as much as she did.
"I think, it reminds me of Robert Altman films and early Woody Allen films. It's a character piece, you'll relate to it, it's more like life, it's funny, it's touching and it's good," said Thurman. "No special effects if you like that kind of thing."
"Ceremony" is written and directed by Hollywood newcomer Max Winkler, who says he is excited to have had the opportunity to cast the perfect people to play his characters.
"You know, I think she really related to the character, it's a really delicate person who's funny and neurotic, which I think is what Uma really is and she was fantastic," said Winkler.
