  • Story Text: British actress Gemma Arterton stole the spotlight from Hollywood stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Sir Ben Kingsley at the world premiere of Prince of Persia: The Sands Of Time.
    Arterton, who plays the feisty Princess Tamina in the Disney blockbuster, made her grand entrance at Westfield London in a glittering Valentino gown, embroidered with beads.
    "I though it would be the right moment to wear a princess style dress," said the 24-year-old on the red carpet.
    Gyllenhaal got the biggest screams, as thousands of fans packed the shopping centre, which had been transformed to look like a Persian city, to catch a glimpse of the 29-year-old actor, who undertook a tough training regime to portray rogue prince Dastan and mark his debut as an action hero.
    "As much [fun] as it was to make the movie. I know. This is where my job is not just fun now, it's super-exciting," Gyllenhaal said at the premiere.
    The star of films such as Donnie Darko and Brokeback Mountain is getting used to the attention on his impressive physique. And of couse to THAT hair. Sadly though, it was all gone.
    "What happened to the hair? Don't worry, I put the hair away, I can put it back on if need be, for now I'm taking ... sometimes everything needs a little break, even hair...."
    Co-star Kingsley and producer Bruckheimer pointed to the hi-tech side of the film, and the premiere.
    "This is remarkably different and terribly exciting," said Kingsley. "Because we are doing a rolling premiere opening in so many different cities, and the film itself is highly technological, it is a very advanced movie. And we are having a very advanced premiere. It is only appropriate. We are using high tech to open the film, we used high tech to make the film, it's so thrilling. And we're travelling through time with this rolling premiere.
