ON THE CHANGES OF "IRON MAN 2" SAYING "He is literally and figuratively, he has nemesis that he is not aware of, he has all kind of struggles in the lab trying to keep his motor running. We figured that that would be the smartest way to keep people emotionally engaged in Tony's struggle and to enjoy the ride." We got everyone together and we are all very good friends so it was nice to get back together." (SOUNDBITE) (English) DON CHEADLE ON "IRON MAN 2" SAYING: 'Yes, it was fun. We go the best toys to play with in this world and it was a lot of fun. It was not fun wearing a 45 pound piece of metal, beyond that hopefully the result is worth it." FANS AT THE PREMIERE (SOUNDBITE) (English) ROBERT DOWNEY JR. ALONG WITH WIFE SUSAN, ON PLAYING IRON MAN, SAYING: "First, of all, lets be clear, I am not. I am the schmuck who stands next to Susan. However, I do get to spend 75 days every other year playing him and it is a thrill and I get all revved up and she can tell when I get into 'Tony" mode because I am a little bit more obnoxious and start thinking I understand the universe and science and everyone should take a knee and listen to me." (SOUNDBITE) (English) DIRECTOR JON FAVREAU ON THE CAST, SAYING: "We were lucky to have a really talented cast that picked up where the last movie left off. Robert Downey Jr. really givers the whole film a personality and he was able to attract a good cast around him." PULL OUT FROM RED CARPET ARRIVAL LINE

- Story Text: Super hero star Robert Downey Jr. arrived on the red carpet Monday night (April 26, 2010) for the world premiere of "Iron Man 2."
The actor was joined at the famed El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood by co-stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Mickey Rourke and director Jon Favreau.
The highly anticipated sequel to the blockbuster film based on the legendary Marvel Super Hero "Iron Man" has generated strong interest ahead of its release.
In the film, Downey Jr. reprises the role of billionaire inventor Tony Stark, who is under pressure from the government, the press and the public to share his technology with the military.
Tony is unwilling to divulge the secrets behind the Iron Man armor because he fears the information will slip into the wrong hands. With Gwyneth Paltrow's Pepper Potts and Don Cheadle's James "Rhodey" Rhodes at his side, Tony forges new alliances and confronts new challenges that make the super hero more vulnerable.
"He is literally and figuratively," explained Downey Jr. "He has nemesis that he is not aware of, he has all kind of struggles in the lab trying to keep his motor running. We figured that that would be the smartest way to keep people emotionally engaged in Tony's struggle and to enjoy the ride."
The actor promises the sequel offers more of the same that made the original film a hit at the box office. Favreau believes it is the result of a very strong cast.
"We were lucky to have a really talented cast that picked up where the last movie left off. Robert Downey Jr. really givers the whole film a personality and he was able to attract a good cast around him," said Favreau.
For Gywneth Paltrow, doing the sequel felt comfortable.
"It was just kind of great and fun. It was very similar to the first one. It was really like a good feeling. We got everyone together and we are all very good friends so it was nice to get back together."
