- Story Text: Actress Keira Knightley attended the Los Angeles premiere of her film "Domino" on Tuesday (October 11) inspired by the true life story of Domino Harvey, a Ford model turned bounty hunter. "I have got a rather very little pathetic scar actually from the machine gun shell that popped out of the back of a machine gun and gave me a second degree burn on my neck. But it just looked like a love bite so it wasnt cool and was really uncool. So yes I have my machine gun scar," Knightley said about her set injury.
The real Domino Harvey died in her Los Angeles home this past June at the age of 35. "Yeah I knew her I went to her funeral. I am sure that she was very happy that Tony was the one who was in charge of doing this film. I think you know she would not have let you know how much like she got a kick out of tonight but she would have," said actor Mickey Rourke who portrayed Harvey's close friend and co worker 'Ed' in the film. The film is directed by Tony Scott and also stars Lucy Lui, Mickey Rourke, Mena Suvari, Macy Gray, and Christopher Walken.
The film follows the late daughter of late actor Laurence Harvey and a former model who rejects her privileged Beverly Hills life to chase criminals. "There is a lot of Keira in Domino Harvey there is a strength and a vulnerability in a different way. There is a little bit of Princess Di, and a little bit of this English Rose set against this crazy world of bounty hunting. This dark underbelly of this bounty hunting world in Los Angeles," said Scott.
Knightleys co-stars sang praises for the actress who at the ripe age of 20 stood her own among the strong men on set. "She is an amazing women you know, dont under estimate us you know when we are petite. It's like it does not mean we dont have a lot of spunk inside and she is great you know so strong willed, so strong minded. I really admire her, she is a woman to be respected,"' said Suvari. The wild action thriller follows LA's most successful and infamous bounty hunters which had the movie stars totting guns and dabbling in the dark side. "I had one the most extraordinary conversations of my life actually with (director) Tony Scott just before I started this movie which was trading body parts. He said, 'I want your bum' and I said, 'You are not having it you can have my boobs' and he went 'I dont want your boobs I want your bum' and I went 'No no no you can have my boobs but you are not having my bum'. So we kind of did that so they got a butt double for a little bit but as things went on you know I eased up with everybody and I thought actually I am fine they are all cool. So there are actually shots of my bum in there. So it could actually be new game you can guess which one is Keira's bum and which one is the bum double," Knightley joked at the Hollywood premiere.
