(SOUNDBITE) (English) AL PACINO, ACTOR, SAYING: "I love Adam. I love him 100 percent. He's a great guy, you hear a lot about him, you hear how great he is. You know he's a great actor, you hear a lot about what a great person he is, and he really is. That's rare." (SOUNDBITE) (English) KATIE HOLMES, ACTRESS, SAYING: "Well, I think what I love so much about this movie, is there are so many characters that you can relate to. Jill, she's the extreme version of a guest that won't leave. And, it's funny, because its a unique relationship that the twins have with each other, and from my character, she's just kinda caught in the middle and is just trying to keep the peace. I think that audiences of all ages can relate to it and find the humor in it. It's light and fun and makes you feel really good." (SOUNDBITE) (English) ADAM SANDLER, ACTOR, SAYING: "The first week I did the girl first, then when I would do the guy, I would still have make up on my face. I couldn't get it off, so we knew, do the guy first, then the lady." - Story Text: Adam Sandler along with co-stars Katie Holmes and Al Pacino hit the red carpet in Los Angeles on Sunday (November 06) for the premiere of the new comedy, "Jack and Jill."
In the film, the likable Sandler does double-duty, taking on the roles of both Jack Sadelstein and his identical sister Jill.
Directed by Dennis Dugan, the films tells the familiar holiday tale of the guest that never leaves as Jack gets the dreaded annual visit from his passive-aggressive sister for Thanksgiving.
Sandler explained that the characters in "Jack and Jill" are based loosely on his own family.
"The real Sandler family can get loud and we have taken knives at the dinner table out on each other. But it's just kind of a conglomerate of a lot of Sandlers, you know, put into one," joked Sandler.
Actress Katie Holmes, who plays the role of Jack's wife, believes the film is something a lot families can relate to.
"Jill, she's the extreme version of a guest that won't leave," laughed Holmes.
"It's funny, because its a unique relationship that the twins have with each other, and from my character, she's just kinda caught in the middle and is just trying to keep the peace. I think that audiences of all ages can relate to it and find the humor in it. It's light and fun and makes you feel really good," she said.
Legendary actor, Al Pacino, who plays himself in the film, said that he was glad to get the chance to work with Sandler.
"He's a great guy, you hear a lot about him, you hear how great he is," said Pacino. "You know he's a great actor, you hear a lot about what a great person he is, and he really is. That's rare."
