- Story Text: The "Ted" premiere was met with screaming fans on Thursday (June 21) in Los Angeles, with actors lining up to talk about the film's star, a degenerate teddy bear.
Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis and Seth MacFarlane were seen on the red carpet laughing, presumably about the potty-mouthed stuffed animal. Wahlberg explained why his furry friend was still lovable despite his wild lifestyle.
"Despite the fact that he's got the most foul mouth you've ever seen and he's a bad influence, he's also got a heart that's very sweet and very kind and very funny," said the 41-year-old actor.
The R-rated comedy centers on a boy whose Christmas wish is fulfilled after his teddy bear comes to life. But that dream turns into a nightmare as they grow up. Wahlberg's character faces problems when his girlfriend, played by Mila Kunis, has issues with Ted's nefarious ways.
"She's just great," Wahlberg said on working with Kunis. "We were in it together. We knew we were taking a risk, but we were all in it together. She's worked with Seth, so she has a lot of confidence in him. We worked together before. She's very easy to get along with. She's smart, witty, quick, but also easy going, which is a rare combination."
The stuffed bear, played by MacFarlane in a motion-capture suit, hangs out with prostitutes, takes hits from a bong and humps a cash register - all activities that would be pretty foreign to tamer and more wholesome bears like Winnie the Pooh.
