- Story Text: Justin Bieber's arrival on the red carpet for the premiere of his new film, "Justin Bieber's Believe" brings tears to the eyes of his teen fans.
Screaming teenage girls, some who waited the better part of a day, greeted Justin Bieber with more screams and some tears as the teen pop star arrived on the red carpet Wednesday night (December 18) in Los Angeles for the premiere of his new film, "Justin Bieber's Believe."
The world premiere took on a bit of teen age drama after Bieber recently told a Los Angeles radio station that he would retire after the release of his next album.
"Oh my God, I would cry," explained hard-core Bieber fan, Lisa Ohio, of Los Angeles. "But, still I have his music and his albums. But, I don't want him to retire. I love you Justin!!!"
"He's joking," added Katerina Johannson, also of Los Angeles. "He knows that he loves to do that. He's kidding."
For the record, Bieber's manager Scott "Scooter" Braun confirmed to Reuters that the singer was joking about his early retirement plans.
"Oh, no, he said in the interview that he was kidding two seconds later," said Braun, who discovered the singer on a YouTube video. "Next year he is just taking a break to just make music and relax and take time to himself. It's the first time since he was 12."
The singer is very busy these days with the recent release of his new album "Journals" and the upcoming release of his new concert movie. Directed by Jon M. Chu, "Believe" looks to take Bieber's fans behind the headlines and beyond the spotlight -- to give an unfiltered and brutally honest insight on the 19-year-old star's life. It offers brand new interviews with Bieber, during which the singer the reveals long-awaited answers to questions about his passion to make music, relationships and the effects of growing up under the spotlight.
While Bieber's entourage swept the singer past the rows of journalist at the film's premiere, his long time friend and mentor Usher explained that no ones is surprised by his now long term success.
"This was going to be a long term investment and we are are excited about the entire story," said Usher. "This is just another chapter."
