Title:Cyprus: Newsman Killed During Turkish Invasion
Date:8th August 1974
Summary:Among the casualties during the Turkish invasion of northern Cyprus were television newsmen. Visnews cameraman Martin Fletcher filmed this incident in which a BBC sound recordist was killed and reporter Simon Dring was wounded when they stepped into a minefield. It is as vivid as any of the dangers which television crews face when covering the news - and of their determination.
