- Story Text: MAKING A SHORT STOP AT ACCRA AIRPORT LAST THURSDAY, NIGERIA'S COMMISSIONER FOR HEALTH, DR J.E. ADETORO PRAISED THE GHANAIAN GOVERNMENT FOR THE STAND IT IS TAKING ON THE PRESENT NIGERIAN SITUATION.
DR ADETORO, ACCOMPANIED BY DR S.L. ADESUYI, CHIEF MEDICAL ADVISER TO THE NIGERIAN FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, AND DR. UMARU SHEHU, CHIEF OF THE NORTHERN STATES OF NIGERIA, WAS ON HIS WAY TO A WORLD HEALTH ORGANISATION CONFERENCE.
THIS IS BEING HELD IN BRAZZAVILLE, CONGO-BRAZZAVILLE. WHEN HE TOUCHED DOWN IN GHANA ON HIS WAY, DR. ADETORO TOLD NEWSMEN AT ACCRA AIRPORT THAT THE NIGERIAN CRISIS AND THE EFFORTS OF AFRICAN NATIONS TO SOLVE IT SHOWED THAT AFRICAN PROBLEMS CAN BEST BE SOLVED BY AFRICANS. HE ADDED THAT FOREIGN HELP IN SOLVING AFRICAN PROBLEMS HAD ALWAYS BEEN INADEQUATE.
