- Story Text: The Prince of Wales' tour of Uganda continued on Saturday (November 24) with a visit to the source of the Nile.
Accompanied by the Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Charles travelled out of the capital Kampala to Jinja, on the banks of Lake Victoria.
The royal couple were in Uganda to attend a Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM).
In all, representatives from 53 countries travelled to Kampala to attend the biennial talks.
It was the first time that Prince Charles visited Uganda and his inaugural visit to an overseas CHOGM.
The move has prompted speculation that Prince Charles will use the opportunity to try and convince delegates that the head of the Commonwealth should continue along royal lines.
Prince Charles's mother, Britain's Queen Elizabeth has held the post since her coronation in 1952, but the role does not have to pass to her successor. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
