  • Story Text: Thirteen brides and grooms get hitched on the top of the Empire State Building on Valentine's Day.
    While flowers and chocolate make for nice gifts, nothing says romance like tying the knot at the Empire State building on Valentine's day.
    Thirteen couples did just that, exchanging their I-dos and rings, then going out to take photos on the observatory deck, which overlooks the island of Manhattan.
    The couples were chosen by Brides.com, which took care of all the wedding planning. Each has a special connection to the building, which has been featured in more than 90 movies.
    Tim Randall looked like his heart skipped a beat as his sweetie of three years, Whitney Edwards, walked down the aisle. Tim's family flew over from England, where the couple met. Whitney was concerned that Tim's visa wouldn't be issued in time for the big day, but thanks to a little help from Senator Hillary Clinton's office Tim's visa was expedited.
    The bride and groom giggled throughout the ceremony and double checked to make sure their rings fit the other's fingers.
    Tim explained that getting married at the iconic building was special for the couple, as they spent two hours cuddling there on his first trip to the U.S.
    Tim's mother smiled as she watched the couple posing for pictures on the observatory deck.
    Kaymarie Knapp and JD Holt also took the big plunge. The couple met in Germany, where JD was stationed with the Air Force. They spent a year in a long distance relationship and were engaged Hawaii after a day of sun and snorkeling. JD arrived in New York City early on Thursday in time to meet Kaymarie at the end of the aisle.
