- Story Text: The Black Stars, Ghana's national soccer team, qualified for the second All-Africa games to be held in Lagos next January when they best Ivory Coast by one goal to nil in the last match of an elimination series.
The goal was scored in the 65th minute by Joe Sam.
The Ivorians, claiming there had been an infringement, wanted the goal disallowed. Their supporters rushed onto the ground and play was held up sight minutes.
The Black stare showed a marked improvement in their football skills as compared with earlier matches.
