Summary:Lebanon's Christian leader General Michel Aoun on September 22 accepted a seven-point Arab peace plan aimed at ending six months of bitter fighting between Christian forces and Syrian troops who control 70 per cent of the country. He said on television he agreed to the Arab plan after "appeals from the international community, all the Arabs and all the friends, and in line with the Lebanese people's desire."
