Hundreds of ageing buses rolled across the border carrying Vietnamese troops who had spent the previous night on the Kampuchean/Cambodian side of the border. Many Kampuceans/Cambodians said they were happy the Vietnamese rescued them from the brutal rule of the Khmer Rouge. With the withdrawal completed the Kampuchea reverted to the name Cambodia.
