Summary:An Iraqi Scud missile killed at least 27 US servicemen and wounded 98 in a Saudi city on February 25. It was the highest casualty toll caused by an Iraqi Scud in the war and the first Scud attack in which US personnel died. The Scud demolished a building temporarily housing troops in Khobar City, near the main US base at Dhahran. The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Thomas Foley described the incident as a misfortune.
