Summary:At least 3,400 people have died and 2,000 are missing in flash floods which devastated the central Philippines on November 5. More then 120,000 people are reported to be homeless. More than 3,000 deaths occurred in the port of Ormoc, a population centre of some 120,000 people on the west coast of Leyte Island. Ormoc was at the centre of the storm but the major crisis came when a dam burst.
