Summary:Leaders of 11 countries signed a declaration in Istanbul on June 25 paving the way for a 'Black Sea Pact' promoting economic and trade ties similar to the EEC's. The summit was opened by Turkish Prime Minister Suleyman Demirel. Other countries represented were Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Romania, Bulgaria, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Greece, Armenia and Albania.
