Summary:Turkish President Suleyman Demirel on June 14 asked Tansu Ciller to form a new government, giving the secular but Moslem country its first woman prime minister. She left the presidential palace after the meeting without speaking to waiting reporters. Ciller, 47, was elected leader of the True Path Party (DYP), Turkey's biggest, at an emergency congress on June 13.
