Summary:A Scud missile slammed into a heavily populated part of the Yemeni capital Sanaa on May 11, killing 25 people in the deadliest single attack of the week-old civil war. The war pits President Ali Abdullah Saleh's northern forces against southern Vice President Ali Salem al-Baidh, accused by Sanaa of trying to split the country which the two leaders united in 1990. Battles continued to rage close to the pre-unification border.
